Indomobil Group, one of Indonesia’s largest conglomerates, has entered a partnership with the Space Time Foundation to introduce a blockchain-powered education initiative intended to support more than 50,000 students across the country. The program uses SXT Chain, a blockchain network built by Space and Time, to store proof of course completion, enabling students to reliably validate their academic records when seeking jobs or pursuing additional education.
The initiative also incorporates SXT, the native token of Space and Time, as the primary payment mechanism. According to the announcement, this element is specifically designed to address challenges faced by Indonesia’s unbanked population, which has long depended on intermediaries to transfer payments to educational institutions. By integrating a direct-token payment option, the program aims to remove barriers that have traditionally slowed or complicated tuition transactions.
Parents and students will be able to send SXT tokens directly to schools, instead of relying solely on cash or third-party payment agents. The approach is intended to make educational payments more secure, transparent, and efficient, particularly for families without access to conventional banking services. The companies involved noted that this streamlined model may help reduce fraud risks and administrative bottlenecks commonly associated with manual payment processes.
Indomobil Group’s president director emphasized the strategic value of the initiative, explaining that the company views long-term infrastructure development as essential to national progress. He indicated that education plays a central role in this vision and suggested that working with Space and Time and MakeInfinite Labs positions the group to help shape a global model for efficient and verifiable learning systems.
Space and Time provides the backend infrastructure for the initiative. Its technology indexes transactions and ensures that both financial and educational data remain instantly accessible and verifiable. Because the blockchain system removes intermediaries from the payment process, the data becomes a single source of truth. This framework allows each transaction to be independently tracked and confirmed, reinforcing the transparency and accountability needed for large-scale deployment.

One of the Space and Time network’s co-founders expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that Indomobil’s use of blockchain infrastructure demonstrates how modern technology can broaden access to education for thousands of students. He conveyed that blockchain delivers a faster, more transparent, and more inclusive alternative to traditional payment systems, making it particularly well-suited for regions with limited financial access.
The initiative not only creates a scalable model for delivering education but also offers a potential solution to the broader unbanked challenge seen in many developing nations. By removing financial barriers and enabling verified digital records, the program is designed to help students maintain lifelong access to their academic achievements. Participants will be able to validate their certificates and coursework at any time, while also benefiting from an entry point into modern educational and financial ecosystems.
With its dual emphasis on verifiable credentials and inclusive payment options, the project marks a significant step in Indonesia’s efforts to modernize education through blockchain technology.
