Injective Launches AI Protocol for Natural Language Blockchain Transactions

AI Infrastructure Simplifies Smart Contract Development

Injective has introduced an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables artificial intelligence agents to convert natural language instructions into signed blockchain transactions, aiming to simplify decentralized application development and on-chain trading on its Layer-1 blockchain.

The newly launched infrastructure is designed to allow AI-powered coding assistants to build, deploy, and verify smart contracts using plain language prompts, eliminating the need for developers to manually construct blockchain transactions. The MCP server functions as an intermediary between AI models and Injective’s on-chain modules by translating user intent into the blockchain operations required to execute specific tasks.

According to the company, the launch is intended to make blockchain development more accessible by allowing AI agents to handle the technical complexity associated with transaction generation and execution.

Broad Set of Tools for Developers and Traders

The MCP server is equipped with 22 integrated tools that support a wide range of blockchain activities, including market data retrieval, trading, token transfers, and asset bridging. Injective also stated that the platform incorporates AES-256 encryption to protect cryptographic keys and enhance transaction security.

Injective Chief Executive Officer Eric Chen said the company believes AI agents should not be required to understand the complexities of blockchain transaction construction before interacting with decentralized networks. He explained that the MCP server enables AI agents to transform user intent into signed on-chain trades within seconds, significantly streamlining the trading process.

The launch forms part of a broader strategy by Injective to expand its AI-focused development ecosystem rather than serving as a standalone product release.

Building an End-to-End AI Development Ecosystem

As part of that ecosystem, Injective has also introduced a Documentation MCP server that offers sample prompts for developers, including examples for deploying Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts. In addition, the company maintains an agent-skills repository featuring the injective-evm-developer package, which is designed to assist developers in creating EVM-compatible smart contracts on the Injective network.

Build, deploy, and verify a smart contract on Injective in one prompt.

By combining these resources, developers can create an automated workflow in which AI coding agents consult documentation, generate smart contract code, deploy applications to the blockchain, and complete verification through the MCP server’s integrated tools. This approach is intended to reduce development complexity while accelerating deployment cycles.

Potential Benefits for the Blockchain Ecosystem

For traders, the new infrastructure enables AI agents to autonomously execute perpetual futures trades, retrieve real-time market information, and manage token transfers without requiring manual intervention. The automation capabilities could improve operational efficiency while allowing users to interact with blockchain applications through conversational prompts instead of technical commands.

Injective has also made the MCP server fully open source, allowing developers worldwide to inspect the codebase, conduct security audits, contribute new features, and build additional applications on top of the protocol. The company expects this collaborative approach to encourage broader innovation while expanding the range of AI-powered tools available within the Injective ecosystem.

The release reflects the growing convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, with developers increasingly seeking ways to simplify decentralized application development through natural language interfaces. By reducing technical barriers and enabling AI agents to perform complex blockchain operations autonomously, Injective aims to make its Layer-1 network more accessible to both developers and market participants.
