LBank Launches Visa Card for Everyday Crypto Payments

New card connects LBank balances to global Visa merchants

LBank has launched its Physical Card, extending its cryptocurrency ecosystem into everyday payments through the global Visa network. The exchange said eligible users can apply through its official platform and use funds held in their LBank spot accounts at supported Visa merchants and ATMs worldwide.

The launch is intended to give cryptocurrency holders a more direct way to use digital assets for routine expenses, including dining, hotels, shopping, transportation and international travel. Rather than limiting cryptocurrency to trading activity, the card is designed to connect digital asset holdings with established payment infrastructure.

The LBank Card allows eligible users to spend directly from their LBank spot account balance, with digital assets converted into the transaction currency in real time without requiring a separate card-wallet top-up or manual transfer.

LBank, which was founded in 2015, said it serves more than 25 million registered users across 210 countries and regions. The exchange reports daily trading volume of more than $23.81 billion and says it has operated for a decade without a security incident. Its platform supports more than 300 established cryptocurrencies and over 50 emerging digital assets.

Real-time conversion simplifies crypto spending

The card has been structured around reducing the steps required to move from cryptocurrency ownership to real-world payments. Users do not need to separately transfer funds to a dedicated card balance before making a purchase. Instead, eligible digital assets in their spot account can be converted into the currency required for a transaction when payment is processed.

The company said the card carries no monthly, top-up or foreign-exchange fees, while purchases are subject to a 0.8% spending fee. Support for Apple Pay and Google Pay is also intended to provide users with payment options familiar from conventional financial services.

Because the card operates through Visa’s merchant network, users can access payment locations beyond businesses that specifically accept cryptocurrency. This could make the product particularly relevant for travelers and consumers who regularly make cross-border purchases.

Cashback, spending limits and savings benefits

LBank is also positioning the card as more than a payment mechanism by attaching several rewards and financial features to eligible accounts.

Qualified users can receive cashback of up to 10% on certain transactions, including purchases covered by the platform’s dedicated coffee cashback program. Referral programs can provide individual users with commissions of up to 10%, while eligible business partners and agents can receive rates reaching 30%.

Higher-tier users can reportedly access monthly spending limits of as much as 1 million USDT, supporting larger transactions and more frequent spending. Eligible idle USDT can also be allocated automatically to LBank’s flexible savings products, with advertised annual percentage rates reaching 10%.

These features are intended to combine spending, rewards and selected savings services within the same digital asset ecosystem.

A new chapter for LBank users starts today. 💳

LBank Pay adds QR-based payment option

The card launch complements LBank Pay, the exchange’s existing QR-based digital asset payment service. The payment platform supports Bitcoin, USDT, Ether and more than 20 additional digital assets, while connecting with more than 10 local payment networks.

Those integrations include PIX, VietQR and DuitNow QR across markets in Southeast Asia and Latin America. Users can scan supported merchant QR codes through the LBank application, with digital assets converted in real time and applicable charges shown before a transaction is confirmed.

LBank is therefore pursuing two payment routes: Visa-based card acceptance for international and mainstream transactions, and QR integrations that connect cryptocurrency with established local payment systems.

LBank’s Community Angel Officer and Risk Control Adviser Eric He said the broader cryptocurrency market was moving toward applications beyond trading, with payments becoming an important component of that transition. He indicated that the key challenge was making digital assets compatible with the financial systems and payment habits consumers already use.

The company said its longer-term strategy is focused on narrowing the gap between cryptocurrency ownership and everyday financial activity. By combining global card acceptance with local payment-network integrations, LBank aims to make digital assets easier to spend while expanding their practical role in payments, savings and commerce.
