A Collaborative Agreement for Advancing Cutting-Edge DX Technologies
LG CNS, the technological arm of the South Korean conglomerate LG Group, has formalized a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with New York City and the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea). The signing of this agreement, which took place at New York City Hall, centers on collaboration for digital transformation, commonly referred to as DX. Key figures present at the signing ceremony included NYC Mayor Eric Adams, LG CNS’ CEO Hyun Shin-gyoon, and AMCHAM Korea’s CEO James Kim.
Pioneering Digital Transformation
Under the MOU, these three entities will embark on a technology partnership with a primary focus on implementing cutting-edge DX technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital twins, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain within the city. Simultaneously, they will introduce internship programs tailored for college students and extend their support to NYC’s Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE).
This collaboration is poised to position LG CNS for broader expansion in North America, particularly in the realms of smart city infrastructure, electronic government services, and cloud computing. Through substantive discussions with representatives from NYC and AMCHAM Korea, the South Korean tech company is also contemplating the establishment of a local branch in New York City. This strategic move aims to fortify LG CNS’s partnership with both entities.
