OKX has confirmed its support for the upcoming migration of Centrifuge (CFG) tokens, following the transition plan issued by the Centrifuge team. The exchange announced that deposits and withdrawals of CFG will be temporarily paused as part of the migration process, beginning at 2:00 am UTC on November 3, 2025. The move marks a key step in Centrifuge’s efforts to upgrade its token infrastructure.
According to the timeline shared by OKX, the migration is expected to take place between 2:00 am UTC on November 3 and 12:00 pm UTC on November 4, 2025. The platform indicated its intention to complete the process within this period, although it cautioned users that coordination with Centrifuge developers and other involved entities could introduce delays.
Despite the pause on deposits and withdrawals, trading of CFG will continue as normal throughout the migration window. This decision has been positioned as a measure to ensure uninterrupted market activity while the technical transition is underway in the background.
Once the migration is finalized, OKX will reopen CFG deposits and withdrawals. However, the exchange will stop accepting the old token format and will only support deposits of the upgraded token version. The updated token will be identifiable through a new contract address: 0xcccccccccc33d538dbc2ee4feab0a7a1ff4e8a94. Users have been advised to double-check token details before transferring assets, as sending the outdated token version could result in irreversible loss.
The token migration is part of Centrifuge’s broader plan to reinforce its blockchain infrastructure. By shifting to a new contract, the project intends to strengthen its network security, improve scalability, and provide a more resilient foundation for future development within the CFG ecosystem.
Industry observers have highlighted the significance of this migration, noting that a smooth execution could serve as a model for other blockchain projects planning contract upgrades. OKX’s participation has been interpreted as a signal of the exchange’s intent to stay aligned with emerging blockchain improvements and to offer its users continued access to updated project assets.
Both Centrifuge contributors and OKX users have been encouraged to remain attentive to official updates as the transition progresses. The exchange has urged token holders to follow instructions carefully, monitor announcements, and verify transaction details to avoid mishaps during the switch.
With the migration expected to conclude within the announced timeframe, the event represents a pivotal moment for Centrifuge’s token evolution. The project’s shift toward a more advanced token standard reflects its aim to support a growing ecosystem while maintaining long-term technical reliability.
