Solana, Robinhood Chain Lead Tokenized Stock DeFi Growth

Tokenized Equities Gain Ground as DeFi Collateral

Tokenized stocks on Solana and Robinhood Chain have emerged as a major part of the growing tokenized-equity market, with the two networks accounting for a combined $152 million in decentralized finance deposits.

The figure represents about 79% of the global total value locked in DeFi protocols involving tokenized equities, highlighting the growing use of blockchain-based representations of stocks beyond simple trading. Solana currently leads the market, while Robinhood Chain has rapidly established itself as a major competitor after launching in July 2026.

Solana holds approximately $75.4 million in tokenized-stock DeFi deposits, giving it a 64.5% share of the market. Robinhood Chain follows closely with about $72.7 million, despite having operated for only a relatively short period.

The rapid accumulation of tokenized-equity deposits on Solana and Robinhood Chain indicates that blockchain-based stocks are increasingly being used as productive DeFi assets rather than remaining limited to tradable representations of traditional securities.

Robinhood Chain Gains Rapid Market Share

Robinhood Chain’s rise to second place has been notable given its recent launch. The network has quickly attracted deposits involving tokenized equities, narrowing the gap with Solana and establishing itself as an important venue for blockchain-based stock activity.

The growth has been supported by interest in well-known U.S. equities represented onchain. Tokenized versions of companies such as GameStop and Nvidia have gained attention on Robinhood Chain, contributing to the network’s expanding role in the tokenized-stock ecosystem.

The development reflects a broader shift in how traditional financial assets are being incorporated into blockchain-based markets. Tokenization allows investors to represent ownership exposure to conventional equities in digital form while potentially making those assets usable across decentralized financial applications.

However, the overall use of tokenized equities in DeFi remains relatively limited compared with the size of the broader market. Tokenized equities have a combined market capitalization of approximately $3.1 billion, but only about 5% of those assets are currently being used in DeFi lending protocols.

The relatively small share suggests that the sector still has considerable room for expansion if more tokenized stocks become accepted as collateral for borrowing, lending, and other financial applications.

Solana Maintains Lead in Onchain Equity Trading

Solana’s position extends beyond DeFi deposits. The blockchain also remains the leading network for onchain equity trading, recording approximately $5.8 billion in tokenized-equity trading volume during the second quarter of 2026.

That trading activity reinforces Solana’s position as one of the most established blockchain networks for tokenized financial assets. Its combination of high transaction capacity and relatively low transaction costs has helped support activity involving tokenized stocks and other financial instruments.

Robinhood Chain, meanwhile, is building momentum by attracting users to tokenized versions of familiar stocks. Its rapid growth in DeFi deposits indicates that demand is expanding from basic trading toward more sophisticated financial applications.

The combination of trading activity and DeFi deposits points to tokenized equities developing into a broader financial primitive, with investors increasingly able to use stock-backed digital assets for purposes beyond buying and selling.

Tokenized Stocks Could Become DeFi Collateral

The growing deposits on Solana and Robinhood Chain highlight a potential new role for tokenized equities within decentralized finance. Rather than functioning solely as digital versions of publicly traded stocks, these assets can potentially serve as collateral in lending markets and support additional onchain financial activity.

The current 5% utilization rate, however, shows that most tokenized-equity value has yet to enter DeFi lending protocols. Expanding that use could create additional liquidity and increase the utility of tokenized stocks.

The concentration of nearly four-fifths of tokenized-equity DeFi deposits on just two networks also underscores the importance of Solana and Robinhood Chain in the sector’s development.

As tokenization expands and more financial institutions and blockchain platforms integrate traditional assets into decentralized applications, the distinction between tokenized trading instruments and productive DeFi collateral could continue to narrow.

If adoption of tokenized equities in lending protocols increases, the market could unlock a larger pool of blockchain-based collateral and deepen the connection between traditional equity markets and decentralized finance.
