Solayer Pay Adds Stablecoin Deposits From Five Blockchains

Update expands cross-chain funding options for crypto payment card users

Solayer Pay has expanded its card application to support direct stablecoin deposits from five blockchain networks, allowing users to fund their payment cards from a broader range of digital asset ecosystems. The update covers Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Base, giving users additional options for transferring stablecoins into the payment service.

The expansion enables Solayer Pay users to deposit stablecoins directly from five major blockchain networks, potentially simplifying card funding and reducing the need for additional transfer steps between supported platforms.

The development reflects the growing integration of stablecoins into consumer payment products as crypto-focused companies seek to make digital assets more practical for everyday transactions. By supporting multiple networks, Solayer Pay is aiming to accommodate users who hold stablecoins across different blockchain environments rather than requiring them to rely on a single network.

Five blockchain networks supported

The updated application supports stablecoin deposits from Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Base. These networks provide infrastructure for digital asset transfers and decentralized applications, although they differ in transaction costs, processing characteristics, and ecosystem activity.

Solana is known for its high-throughput blockchain infrastructure, while Ethereum supports a broad range of decentralized finance applications and digital assets. Arbitrum and Base are Ethereum scaling networks designed to support transactions with different cost and performance characteristics. BNB Chain also hosts a substantial ecosystem of digital assets and blockchain-based applications.

Supporting deposits from these networks can give users greater flexibility when choosing how to fund their cards. Instead of first moving assets to a single supported blockchain, users may be able to transfer eligible stablecoins directly from their existing wallets on the supported networks.

However, the availability of a particular stablecoin may depend on the asset and network combination supported by Solayer Pay. Users must also ensure that deposits are sent through the correct network to avoid potential transfer problems.

Stablecoins strengthen crypto payment options

Stablecoins are digital assets designed to maintain a relatively stable value by tracking an underlying asset, commonly the US dollar. They are widely used for cryptocurrency trading, blockchain-based transfers, and decentralized financial services.

Their use in payment applications offers an alternative to spending more volatile cryptocurrencies, whose market prices can change significantly over short periods. Stablecoins can help users maintain a predictable digital currency balance while moving funds between wallets and payment services.

For card providers, integrating stablecoins can connect blockchain-based holdings with familiar payment experiences. Users can potentially fund a card with digital assets and then use the card through supported payment channels, depending on the product’s terms and availability.

If your USDC/USDT are on Base or BSC, you can send them straight to @Solayer_Pay now. No bridging first.

By broadening its supported deposit networks, Solayer Pay is positioning its card application to serve users whose stablecoin holdings are distributed across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

The expansion may also make the service more accessible to customers who already use different networks for trading, decentralized finance, or digital asset transfers. Fewer intermediate steps could improve the funding experience, although the actual savings in time and transaction costs will depend on network fees and the application’s deposit procedures.

Adoption depends on usability and supported assets

The addition of five blockchain networks represents an expansion of Solayer Pay’s deposit infrastructure, but broader adoption will depend on the range of supported stablecoins, the reliability of transfers, and the overall card experience.

Users may also need to consider network fees, transaction confirmation times, account requirements, and any applicable deposit or spending limits. Support for a blockchain does not necessarily mean every stablecoin issued on that network is accepted.

As crypto payment providers compete to make digital assets easier to use, cross-chain funding capabilities could become an important feature. Solayer Pay‘s latest update advances that objective by giving users more ways to move stablecoins into its card application without first consolidating their holdings on one blockchain.
