UAE-based Crypto Oasis Ventures, in partnership with global management consulting firm Roland Berger, has announced the launch of ‘The Green Block’, a new initiative aimed at promoting the utilization of Web3 technology to achieve environment, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
This global initiative represents a significant stride towards harnessing the potential of blockchain and AI technologies to work towards a more sustainable future.
The Green Block serves as a global think tank and launchpad, with the objective of accelerating the adoption of Web3 and AI technology by creating an ecosystem for blockchain projects related to ESG and social initiatives. By bringing together projects and thought leaders from around the world, the initiative aims to foster the development of groundbreaking solutions.
Faisal Zaidi, co-founder of Crypto Oasis Ventures, stated that The Green Block’s mission aligns with the objectives of the UAE for COP28 and, more broadly, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“The Green Block will facilitate the development and implementation of sustainable Web3 solutions on a global scale by connecting projects, providing necessary infrastructure, and empowering talent. With our alignment to the objectives of COP28 and the UAE, we aim to expand the reach of this initiative,” explained Zaidi.
Roland Berger, the official collaboration partner, contributes to defining the strategic direction of the initiative.

One such use case can be observed in the waste recycling sector. Beeah, a waste management company based in Sharjah, is leveraging blockchain technology to enhance transparency throughout the waste management value chain. This transparency facilitates the adoption of circular models and fosters collaboration focused on sustainability.
Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Beeah, emphasized the company’s vision, built on the pillars of sustainability and digitalization. “There is immense potential in blockchain, AI, and Web3 technologies, and I am eager to witness how The Green Block leverages these tools to revolutionize ESG projects.”
Beeah has joined The Green Block as its inaugural patron. Al Huraimel stated, “Beeah looks forward to promoting innovation and engaging with stakeholders to achieve sustainability objectives using technology while addressing global challenges.”
Crypto Oasis is a blockchain community actively operating in the MENA region, collaborating with various stakeholders such as investors, startups, corporations, governments, researchers, and service providers. Its ultimate goal is to become the largest and most innovative blockchain ecosystem.
