WEMADE and its blockchain gaming platform WEMIX PLAY have opened global pre-registration for Hellsquad Rrrush!: Stone Rush, a Web3 adaptation of the casual roguelike tower defense game Hellsquad Rrrush!. The game is scheduled for an official launch in September, with players able to participate in pre-launch activities and qualify for exclusive rewards.
Developed by LightCON CO., LTD., the original Hellsquad Rrrush! combines strategic unit placement, roguelike progression and wave-based tower defense. Players control demon squads tasked with protecting the gates of Hell against successive enemy attacks.
The original title gained rapid traction following its release, reaching the No. 1 position on Google Play’s Top Games chart within three days. It has accumulated more than 1 million downloads since its launch in July 2025.
Hellsquad Rrrush!: Stone Rush expands the original game into Web3 by adding blockchain-based asset ownership, a player-driven token economy and the Hexstone Mine Wars system through WEMIX PLAY.
Gameplay expands with a digital asset economy
Stone Rush retains the accessible defense mechanics of the original game while adding new progression and economic systems. Players can summon demons with different abilities, build specialized squads, and use powerful Treasures to strengthen their teams.
The game is designed around strategic decision-making, requiring players to select appropriate characters and abilities as increasingly difficult waves of enemies approach. Hero abilities and progression mechanics are combined with the new digital asset economy to create additional utility around gameplay.
The Web3 version introduces two core currencies, HELLSHARD and HELLSTONE. HELLSHARD functions as an in-game bridge currency that players can earn through gameplay and use to obtain items and other supported currencies.
HELLSTONE serves as a connection to the wider WEMIX ecosystem. According to the project structure, players can exchange HELLSTONE for WEMIX coin, creating a link between in-game progression and the broader blockchain economy.
The two-token structure is designed to connect gameplay rewards with the WEMIX ecosystem, giving players a pathway between in-game activity, digital assets, and external token utility.
Pre-registration offers multiple rewards
The global pre-registration campaign will continue until the game’s official launch. Participants can receive several rewards by completing the registration process, including AMBER tokens, PLAY tokens and exclusive character skins.
AMBER is intended for use in acquiring specialized items through the dedicated WEMIX PLAY webshop. PLAY serves as a platform utility token and can be used for selected character skins and premium content across participating WEMIX PLAY titles.
Exclusive skins are also scheduled to be distributed through coupons when the game launches. The pre-registration campaign includes a community milestone program in which additional AMBER tokens and character skins can become available as registration numbers increase, with some rewards distributed through random selection.
A referral program will provide qualifying participants with tiered AMBER and PLAY token rewards based on successful invitations.
The company said rewards are expected to be distributed within two weeks of the game’s launch, although the timing remains subject to change.
