Yield Guild Games (YGG) Pilipinas has entered a strategic partnership with Immutable to enhance the presence of the Web3 game, Guild of Guardians (GOG), in the Philippines. YGG Pilipinas, a community dedicated to gamers and creators, supports the adoption of Web3 technologies within the country. Immutable, known for its highly capitalized platform and ecosystem, has over 320 committed games. This collaboration positions YGG Pilipinas as an anchor partner for GOG, a mobile game released on Immutable that has shown significant growth since its launch in May 2024.
Guild of Guardians saw considerable interest before its soft launch, boasting over one million pre-registered users and more than 400,000 followers across various social media platforms, including X, Discord, Reddit, TikTok, and Medium. The game is currently available on both Android and iOS, and has garnered positive feedback from players, including those who found it engaging and fun.
Strengthening Community Engagement and Game Adoption
Jill Keshyap, executive producer of Immutable Games Studio, noted that the Philippines is recognized as one of the strongest communities in Web3 gaming, with YGG Pilipinas at the forefront. She emphasized that the partnership would play a crucial role in establishing Guild of Guardians as a leading team-based RPG on mobile. YGG Pilipinas’ Web3-native user acquisition tools have expanded their player base, and with YGG Pilipinas’ onboarding expertise, there is optimism that GOG could become one of the top games driving further adoption.
Guild of Guardians is prominently featured in Season 6 of YGG’s Guild Advancement Program (GAP), a questing platform that rewards players with YGG tokens and achievement badges in the form of soulbound tokens to make their accomplishments verifiable onchain. GAP Season 6 includes six GOG quests, one of which is a premium quest with greater rewards. These quests range from beginner-friendly tasks, such as leveling up in-game, to more challenging ones for experienced players, like reaching the top 100 on the leaderboards. The event featured Guild of Guardians and 15 other Web3 games to nearly 7,000 attendees across six cities: Batangas, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, and Manila.
Guild of Guardians began with soft launches in Indonesia, Australia, and Canada before its global release on May 15, 2024. The mobile squad game achieved a 4.8 rating on the iOS App Store, receiving praise for its lore, depth, flexibility, and player-centric approach.
