1win Launches Web3 Wallet Login and Deposit System

New Authentication Feature Removes Email and Password Requirements

Crypto gaming and entertainment platform 1win has introduced a Web3 authentication system that allows users to create accounts, sign in and deposit digital assets by connecting a cryptocurrency wallet.

The new system enables users to use a crypto wallet as their account identity, eliminating the need for email registration, usernames, passwords and manual entry of wallet addresses.

The feature is available to all 1win users and supports Trust Wallet, MetaMask and other compatible applications through WalletConnect. The platform said the updated process was intended to simplify account creation and reduce the number of steps required to begin using its services.

The system supports Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible blockchain networks across the available wallet connection options. EVM-compatible networks include several blockchains that use technology compatible with Ethereum’s smart contract environment.

TRON wallet connectivity is available through Trust Wallet and supported TRON wallet options that use WalletConnect. The company said the integration expanded access for users who rely on the TRON blockchain, where the USDT stablecoin using the TRC-20 token standard is widely used for cryptocurrency transfers and payments.

The platform said the integration provides streamlined wallet-based onboarding for TRON users and allows supported wallets to connect directly to its services without requiring traditional account credentials.

Wallet Becomes the Primary Account Identifier

Under the new system, a user’s cryptocurrency wallet functions as the primary identifier for the account. Users can connect a supported wallet and approve the connection through the wallet application.

Once the connection is confirmed, the platform automatically creates an account associated with the wallet. The process removes the need to complete a conventional registration form or establish separate login credentials.

Users can also make deposits by approving a transaction through their wallet application. This approach avoids the need to manually copy and paste a receiving wallet address, which can be time-consuming and may increase the risk of sending funds to an incorrect address.

The updated onboarding process is designed to reduce several common barriers associated with cryptocurrency platforms. Users do not need to provide an email address, select a username, or create and maintain a password.

The wallet-based process may also shorten the time required to create an account and complete an initial deposit. By combining authentication and transaction approval within a supported wallet application, the platform aims to provide a more direct connection between users and its services.

Web3 Authentication Expands Across Supported Wallets

The introduction of wallet-based authentication reflects the broader use of Web3 identity systems, which rely on blockchain wallets and cryptographic signatures rather than centralized usernames and passwords.

In a conventional online account system, an organization typically manages user credentials through its own databases. Under a wallet-based model, users verify control of a blockchain address by approving a connection or signing a request through their wallet.

The approach can reduce the amount of information required during account creation. However, users remain responsible for protecting their wallet credentials and recovery information. Loss of access to a wallet could affect access to services linked to that wallet, depending on the platform’s account recovery policies.

By integrating registration, authentication and deposits into a single wallet-based process, 1win aims to reduce onboarding friction and provide faster access to its crypto entertainment services.

The company said the feature was intended to create a more streamlined experience from the user’s first interaction with the platform through the completion of an initial transaction.

Founded in 2016, 1win operates in markets across Asia, Latin America and Africa and provides gaming and other entertainment products adapted to regional audiences. The company did not disclose financial terms, user adoption targets or a timetable for expanding support to additional blockchain networks or wallet applications.
