Avalanche blockchain has announced a strategic partnership with Alipay+, China’s leading payment application, to introduce an innovative e-wallet and voucher program. This groundbreaking collaboration integrates Web3 technology, signaling a significant advancement in digitalization solutions.
The joint effort introduces the Alipay+ D-store, an all-encompassing digitalization solution designed to seamlessly integrate e-wallets and facilitate a Web3-enabled voucher program. Through collaboration with a Southeast Asian entity, users can obtain vouchers through engaging in branded mini-games. These vouchers offer substantial discounts of up to 50% on milk teas from 10 renowned brands, available at over 500 shops across the region, with an additional 2,000 shops planned for inclusion.
Central to this initiative is an Avalanche Subnet, meticulously developed and managed by AvaCloud. Serving as the program’s backbone, this subnet plays a crucial role in facilitating its execution and extending its outreach to over 100 million users predominantly from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The implementation of the voucher program marks the initial phase of a two-part proof-of-concept (POC). The subsequent phase will focus on food and beverage merchants, enabling seamless integration of Alipay+ D-store with e-wallet partners across Southeast Asia. The Alipay+ D-store, functioning as an innovative ordering solution, streamlines in-store processes, online selling, orders, marketing, and insights.
This POC serves as a platform for brands like Alipay+ D-store to explore the potential of Web3 solutions in enhancing user interaction. Leveraging Avalanche Subnets enhances the program’s agility, offering unparalleled transparency, digital asset rails, and Web3 capabilities.
Moreover, the Web3-enabled voucher program creates opportunities for collaboration with other brands utilizing digital collectibles and blockchain-powered features. AvaCloud plays a pivotal role in simplifying the deployment and maintenance of Subnets.
The POC also underscores AvaCloud’s expansion strategy beyond AWS, embracing a hybrid model across AlibabaCloud and AWS. By running validators on AlibabaCloud and provisioning RPC through AvaCloud on AWS, AvaCloud aims to diversify its cloud infrastructure.
