Web3 lifestyle app Stepn has revealed a groundbreaking partnership with Pantone, marking the color giant’s first official venture into the Web3 space. The collaboration introduces two exclusive colors that aim to bridge the physical and digital realms of fitness, fashion, and creativity. The partnership, developed under Stepn’s parent company FSL, represents a unique intersection of color innovation and blockchain-based lifestyle applications.
Stepn, known for its model of rewarding users for physical activity through NFT sneakers, has garnered over 5.7 million registered users worldwide. Participants earn rewards by walking, jogging, or running while using tokenized sneakers, which can be either purchased or borrowed. The rewards can be reinvested to level up, enhance virtual appearances, or be monetized, encouraging both physical movement and digital interaction.
Having previously collaborated with notable brands such as Adidas, ASICS, Atlético de Madrid, and Steve Aoki, Stepn’s latest partnership with Pantone is seen as a natural progression in its evolution. The collaboration is rooted in the goal of enhancing Stepn’s new product, STEPN GO, which focuses on integrating fitness with social connectivity. Users of the app are also able to lend sneakers, thus expanding participation and promoting community engagement.
Pantone, globally recognized for its standardized color systems, brings its industry expertise to this partnership. Its technologies and tools are widely used across graphic design, fashion, and product development to ensure color consistency across various materials and platforms. The company’s proprietary color systems have been employed by over 10 million designers and manufacturers worldwide, with iconic contributions such as Tiffany Blue and Valentino’s Pink PP.

As part of the partnership, two exclusive Pantone colors have been launched: PANTONE 16-0163 STEPN Green and PANTONE 265 STEPN GO Purple. The green shade embodies vitality, movement, and a connection with nature, while the purple hue symbolizes the bold individuality of a digitally active generation. These colors are designed to resonate with users navigating parks, city streets, and natural trails, reinforcing themes of wellness, balance, and environmental consciousness.
These custom colors will make their debut in the upcoming Genesis Sneaker collections within the Stepn and STEPN GO ecosystems. According to the project details, the STEPN Green Genesis sneakers will be released through a Raffle Mint from July 23 to 27, offering 150 units across four distinct green-themed designs. The STEPN GO Purple Genesis sneakers will be made available through a limited auction, with just 25 pairs being offered. Users can collect, wear, or trade these sneakers within the Stepn ecosystem, adding utility to aesthetic innovation.
The collaboration aims to embody the shared values of both partners—emphasizing creativity, sustainability, and user empowerment in digital experiences. The sneakers, enhanced by Pantone’s signature color accuracy, are intended to provide not just a functional tool for engagement but also a lasting visual identity within the Web3 world.
Stepn representatives expressed pride in collaborating with Pantone, referring to it as an iconic force in global design. The initiative was described as a meaningful effort to create color concepts that represent the values and aspirations of the Stepn community. Pantone’s leadership also recognized the collaboration as a milestone, highlighting the alignment between Stepn’s wellness focus and Pantone’s commitment to design innovation. They emphasized that the integration of these colors into the Genesis Sneaker collection reflects a unique convergence of color and movement, where digital fashion and physical activity meet.
